Garden Design & Maintenance

 

Naomi Lawrence has been running a successful business since the summer of 2004, offering garden design, maintenance and plant supply. She graduated in 2004 with a foundation degree in Professional Garden Design. During that summer she did a show garden at Hampton Court Palace and was awarded a Silver Medal. Her garden was entitled “Wildlife Planting in a modern garden”, and was shown on TV with various well known garden celebrities stood in her garden presenting their show. Within her garden was a mosaic rill, galvanised steel pathways, a bird hotel and lots of plant material that attracted pollen loving insects. During the show her garden attracted Dragonflies, Bees, Wasps and a host of birds.

It was following the success of this prestigious show, that she set up her own business, with the help and guidance of the Princes Trust.

DESIGN SERVICE

She offers a full range of design services, from initial surveys, full colour garden designs and detailed planting plans. Every design is individually designed around the needs and tastes of the clients. Naomi's portfolio contains a large number of commissions from a wide variety of clients, located from Cornwall to Hampshire. In her portfolio her designs consist from large farmhouse gardens to modern trendy town courtyard gardens. She has designed traditional walled kitchen gardens to the practical modern day family gardens. All shapes and sizes can be catered around and designed for.

• She has redesigned the gardens of a holiday letting complex.
• She was involved in the redesigning an old orchard for a new build that was put on the market, with her designs being included with the sale particulars – it is well documented that a well designed garden enhances the value of a property and aids a quick sale
• She has designed gardens for people with listed properties and listed garden walls, the challenges are greater but this is something that Naomi thrives on.
• A client that had a studio at the bottom of their garden, wanted a wildlife garden and she was able to redesign the existing garden and incorporate a low maintenance garden for them to enjoy from the studio.

 

Once a design has been completed she can either recommend good landscapers that she has worked with or is happy to work with a landscaper of your choice.

 

GARDEN MAINTENANCE Naomi and her team are able to offer a garden maintenance service for private and commercial gardens. On a regular basis to keep the garden in good order, or just one off visits to give the garden a good clearout and tidy up.

 

PLANT SUPPLY

She is able to supply and source plants for all your needs. Trees, Shrubs, Herbaceous, Climbers and more, at very competitive prices. A planting service is also available to help you fill those borders.

Naomi has a wide range of experience and her background of being brought up in a rural environment is reflected in her designs. She is very colour aware and can blend exisiting features and borders into a new design. Her particular passion is all round year colour and using plants that are good for the environment and wildlife friendly. She is also interested in historical gardens and restoration, and enjoys designing a garden to compliment the age of a house.
